FOR people facing skin problems, seemingly many solutions are available in the market. But the more enlightened ones among us would already know that less is actually more when it comes to skincare.
Many experts would tell you that soap should be avoided if you have skin problems as most soap products contain substances that strip the skin of its natural protective emollients. Logically, products that are gentle to sensitive skin yet cleanse well would be the solution. But what brand to consider?
The first MooGoo product, the Udder Cream, fits the bill—or so its creator would tell you. The product was so named because of what udder balm was for initially: to keep cows’ udders soft and supple so that they can produce milk comfortably.
The story of MooGoo is interesting enough. MooGoo founder, Craig Jones, noticed how udder balm worked well on his cows and decided to produce a similar product for his mother who was suffering from severe skin problems. Her condition improved with the product but it was too oily for human use. Having rectified that problem, Jones passed some samples to family members and friends to try, and soon everyone was back for more. And the rest, as they say, is history.
Today, MooGoo products are available in a complete range. The philosophy behind MooGoo is sticking to the basics. This means staying free of cosmetic-enhancing yet harsh ingredients such as sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), diethanolamine (DEA), and triethanolamine (TEA) that are commonly used in shampoos and creams to create a creamy and lathery effect.
MooGoo products use natural almond, sage and olive oils, aloe vera, matricaria flower extract, centella asiatica herb, and allantoin (comfrey root extract)—all ingredients that are gentle and safe to be eaten.
MooGoo was introduced to Malaysia in January last year, and in a short period of time, it has acquired close to 20,000 fans on Facebook who have found relief for their skin problems. For more details, visit www.moogoo.my or call 03-77277999.
