Inspired by the freshwater Inle Lake nestled within the heart of the Shan Plateu in Myanmar, Inle Myanmar Restaurant brings forth the flavors of Myanmarese cuisine to the Lion City. Inle Myanmar is probably the first time I really have Burmese food. The menu is interesting and there is quite a few dishes I want to try. Especially for the Set Menu for with 1 Side Dish, 2 Main Dishes+ 2 Drinks/Desserts caught my eyes.
Their dishes are greatly influenced by the cooking style of China, India, and Thailand while still comportment with their own distinct flavors. Warm yellow lights and gilded frames bearing images of the lakeside line the restaurant as diners savor authentic cuisine, derived from family recipes from its Myanmar chefs. Appetizers like pennywort salad and pickled tea leaved salads prepare the palate, as main courses of chicken curry, Myanmar biryani, shwe taung khau hswe (golden mountain noodles), and more tantalize taste buds. Traditional desserts of hpa luda and shwe yin aye end meals with a sweet finish. For beverage, tried the Sakyalama. Was pretty good even though it was a fake bird nest drink.
